Working Any 5 days out of 7: 12:00pm -18:00PM starts average 8-10 hours shift

Pay Rate: £16.00 - £21.28 PER HOUR (£16.00 - Monday - Friday: 06.00 - 22.00 £19.00 - Monday - Friday: 22.00 - 06.00 £22.00 - Saturday & Sunday £21.28 after 42 Hours)

Day to Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Complete 2-4 store deliveries per shift
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Collections of recycling from depots may be required
• Carry out vehicle inspections and report any faults to management
• Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner
• Communicate any issues / delays effectively
• Abide by all working time rules and regulations
• Trunking work may also be required

Essential Skills:

Essential skills required to be a HGV Class 1 Driver:

• 2+ years minimum experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver C+E Licence
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 points for MINOR offences (No IN10, DR10, DD10)
• Good customer service and communication skills

Desirable Experience:

Desirable experience required to be a HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Experience with store deliveries would be an advantage

What training is provided?

• Must pass a 1-hour company assessment both written and physical, if passed then will be put on a 2-day paid company induction and have training through shadow shifts for your first week.
