Facilities By ADF have an exciting opportunity for a HGV Class 1 Shunter to join their team.

Location: Bridgend, South Wales, CF35 5LJ

Salary: £35,100pa (£135 per day for a 9-hour day)

Job Type: Full – Time, Permanent

Hours: 45 Hours per week. Mon-Fri (Inc. paid breaks)

HGV Class 1 Shunter – The Role:

We are looking for a HGV Class 1 qualified Yard Assistant to join our team in Bridgend. ADF are a 24/7 operation and staff are required to be flexible during busy periods to cover additional workloads.

HGV Class 1 Shunter – Key Responsibilities:

- To safely move vehicles and trailers around the yard and between local depots/parking locations

- Ensure that the correct procedures are adhered to when ‘hitching and unhitching’ the unit to the trailer and to ensure that the trailer is securely loaded

- If necessary to deliver a vehicle or tailer to a customer, depot, garage, or test centre

- Puts safety first and respects all other road users

- Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly

- Self – motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable

- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all ADF trailers to the standards required

- Work in conjunction with Yard Manager

- Report any defects or damage found whilst working on trailers to Yard Manager

- Complete check sheets when trailers are cleaned, sign off & give to Yard Manager

- Be aware & follow the company’s Chlorination process

HGV Class 1 Shunter – You:

Essential

- Must hold a Class one HGV licence (mandatory)

- Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

- Ability to follow instructions

- Must be able to deliver consistently under pressure

- Great attention to detail
