Higher Learning Teaching Assistant - Full Time - South East London - January Start

Are you an experienced and resilient individual with experience working alongside SEN children?

We are currently recruiting for a SEN Higher Learning Teaching Assistant to work at a special needs school based in South East London. This special needs school go above and beyond for young autistic individuals by creating a safe and vibrant learning community where each student can engage on a 1:1 basis.

Responsibilities:

• Support students across KS1-KS2
• Support reducing / removing barriers to participation in all learning and extracurricular activities and value social and community access / participation
• Train in and consistently apply Positive Behaviour Support strategies / handling techniques
• Actively seek to extend knowledge and skills relevant to supporting autistic learners with a range of barriers to learning and associated complexities

This school is located only a 10 minute walk away from the nearest station, making for an easy journey to and from work.
