Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Cover Supervision

Location: Fulbourn,Cambridgeshire, UKPosition Type: Full-Time / Part-Time FlexibleStart Date: Asap

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team for the upcoming term. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing cover supervision across different classes, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage groups of students across various subjects and year groups.
  • Ensure that work set by the teacher is understood and completed, maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety within the classroom.
  • Report any concerns or issues to the relevant teacher or leadership team.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to teaching, as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential:
    • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent classroom management abilities.
    • Ability to quickly adapt to different teaching environments and subjects.
    • A passion for supporting students' learning and development.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience working as a cover supervisor or in a similar role.
    • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
