A school in Thurrock, Essex, is seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team ASAP and stay on until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role Details:

• Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• Key Stages: KS1 & KS2
• Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanency
• Pay: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
• Location: Thurrock, Essex
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver small group interventions and cover lessons in the absence of teachers.
• Support students with a range of needs, fostering academic and social development.
• Work closely with class teachers to implement tailored strategies and ensure a high-quality learning experience.
• Provide one-on-one and group support for students who need additional assistance.
• Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience supporting students across KS1 and KS2.
• Confidence in leading groups and covering lessons when required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
• A proactive, adaptable approach with a passion for education and inclusion.
