Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting new role? A fantastic junior school in Barking is seeking a skilled HLTA to work across all classes from Year 3 to Year 6. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a HLTA role, ideally within a junior or primary school setting.
- HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and strategies to support effective learning.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different age groups and needs.
- The confidence to lead lessons and cover classes in the teacher's absence.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively across multiple classes.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers across Year 3 to Year 6 by delivering engaging lessons and small group interventions.
- Leading whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher.
- Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and resources.
- Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback to teachers.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment across all Key Stage 2 classes.
