Working Hours; 08:30 am - 15:30 pm.

Your Role as a HLTA:In this key role, you’ll be an integral part of the school’s mission to provide a tailored education that meets the individual needs of each student. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting Learning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in collaboration with teachers, adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of children with SEMH.
• Leading Interventions: Work one-on-one and in small groups to provide focused learning and emotional support.
• Building Relationships: Foster trust and positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and resilience.
• Behavior Support: Promote a calm and inclusive classroom environment, using effective strategies to manage behavior.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create and implement holistic education plans.
• Student Progress: Monitor, assess, and celebrate the achievements of students, ensuring their progress is communicated effectively to staff and parents.
• Day-to-Day Support: Assist with classroom preparation, extracurricular activities, and supervision during breaks and outings.

What We’re Looking For:

• A HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• A proven ability to work with children with SEMH needs, including understanding their challenges and how to support them effectively.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and innovative teaching strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• A collaborative mindset, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
