History Teacher - Tradewind Recruitment : Job Details

Tradewind recruitment are working with an outstanding secondary school based in Slough who are currently looking for a full time History Teacher.

School are looking for someone to start from January 2025 on a long term contract until July 2025. School are willing to offer a permanent contract for the right person.

This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Salary will match London Fringe MPS/UPS.

School has available parking spaces.

History Teacher :

• Offer strong teacher subject and pedagogical knowledge.
• Engage in helping students gain a deeper understanding of the world today.
• Enable life-long skill development through explicit teaching of key historical concepts.
• Play a key role in fostering a positive and safe environment, while challenging students to reach their full potential.
• Embrace and support the ethos of both boarding and day school life.

School aim to create global citizens equipped to assess received opinion and make independent judgements. Pupils who are aware of the past, present, and future of the world around them. Pupils learn to understand the past by developing their historical skills. They gain a sense of time and chronology, and their place in world history.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A relevant degree
• Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Approachable and encouraging
