History Teacher - Prospero Teaching : Job Details

History teacher - Bury - ASAP start Prospero Teaching are working with a large secondary school in Bury who are seeking a History Teacher to work in their school as soon as possible from January until July on a full time basis. You will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging & that will stretch the classes in key stage 3 & 4. You will be required to become fully immersed in school, attending departmental meetings, parents' evenings etc and posses strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students and build a rapport quickly. There is a large on-site car park and parking available on nearby roads. There are also good public transport links close by. General Information: Location: Bury Position: History teacher Start date: ASAP End date: July 2025 Minimum rate of pay: in line with your main pay scale Hours: 8:15 am-4 pm (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Qualified Teacher of History Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum Teacher of History at key stage 3 and 4 Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided) You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis , the role is open to ECT's and more experienced teachers. You will be required to commit to the role in it's entirety. To be eligible for this History teaching job with Prospero Teaching hold Right to Work in the UK. Possess an enhanced child barred list. DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application. Provide a minimum of two professional child related references covering the last 2 years
