Are you wanting your next challenge in your career? Have you recently qualified and want to put it into use? Your Newbury based mainstream primary is keen to expand their team, with more experienced and qualified staff. The role is focused on supporting Newbury KS2 students, however there is scope to explore other year groups and key stages.

As a HLTA, you are responsible for:

• To help the KS2 teachers prepare materials
• To set up classrooms ready for cross circular lessons
• Working with individual students and small groups - for a more tailored approach.
• To watch, record and report the progress students make. Communicating with the class teacher.
• To look after KS2 students who are upset or unwell, with a key focus on wellbeing and safeguarding.
• To lead classes and activities with help from the teacher, in their absense.
• To work closely with families and carers

Qualificatons/Certifications:

• NVQ 3 Teaching Assistant (or similar)
• HLTA Higher Level Teaching Certificiate
• Driving Licence (prefered)
• 2 years minimum experience in a TA/LSA or similar role.
• SEN knowleage/certificates is an added bonus.
