Oakleaf are currently looking for a motivated Cleaner to join the friendly and supportive Housekeeping team at our private hospital in Mundesley. Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience although the right attitude is equally as important and full training will be provided.

Southern Hill Hospital has 25 mental health beds across two wards, as well as a 5 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Southern Hill Hospital is able to offer a 24-hour acute admission within a safe and secure environment.

The role is a 40-hours per week contract, comprising three ten-hour days each week with alternate weekends.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Manager to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the service.
• Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Manager.
• Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Manager.
• To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
• To comply with COSHH regulations.
• To adhere to infection control polices at all times.
• To ensure the correct use of PPE.
• To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home
• Carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager.
• To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
• To ensure trolley’s are re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy.
