Our client, a renowned young person's homeless charity based across East Surrey, is currently seeking an experienced Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Redhill. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives by providing high-quality, person-centred housing support to those in need.
As a Support Worker, you will be based at a 44-bed young person’s service in Redhill, and will provide tailored housing support to young people with a range of needs. You will be responsible for promoting resident engagement and empowerment through the development of positive relationships with residents, enabling them to take control of their lives and make positive change. You will work closely with residents to create tailored support plans that meet their specific needs and enable them to achieve their goals of moving on to more independent living.
To apply for this role you will have experience of working with children, young people and families, both on a one to one basis and in group settings. Ensuring that services are delivered to set standards and that service-users' needs are met. You will be responsible for the provision of trauma informed support and take part in restorative practice. You will be taking responsibility for the safety of residents at move on properties and by responsible and proactive in safeguarding adults, young people, and children at risk of harm in accordance with local and national guidelines. This includes showing a commitment to promote organisation wide awareness, understanding of safeguarding and undertaking best practice.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role supporting vulnerable people and will have a passion for improving the lives of those experiencing homelessness. You will have a person-centred approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Please note, this is a full-time role and will be working a 3-week rolling rota Monday-Friday; the first week 8-4pm, the second week 10-6pm, and the third week 1-9pm
