This is an amazing temporary to permanent opportunity for someone wanting to work in an HR related role. It will temp for a short period only before joining this Leeds based firm permanently. A firm with an excellent reputation who have received outstanding feedback from all candidates we have placed with them over many years. It is an administrative support role ideally suiting someone with a keen desire to progress from CIPD Level 3 to Level 5 or someone who has elements of HR in their career to date and enjoy HR to the point where you would like to be fully involved in various aspects of the HR processes. It is a great place to work on a hybrid basis with a fantastic team.

Job Profile

The role is working closely with the manager in this department. You will be a key contact to all employees providing advice and supporting with queries on people related matters from staff and managers. You will be ensuring HR data is kept up to date and leading on recruitment campaigns. This firm have a very strong focus on culture and are genuinely people focused. You need to be the same.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensuring workforce data is kept up to date and assist in producing a quarterly dashboard identifying trends.
  • Leading on recruitment campaigns including the development of candidate packs, speaking with potential applicants and following up with appropriate communication.
  • Conducting preboarding/onboarding processes and ensuring appropriate paperwork is completed.
  • Supporting processes (for example, maternity, paternity, parental leaves) and providing advice to managers and employees from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Assisting with meetings such as disciplinary, absence reviews and taking notes where appropriate.
  • Supporting on people related projects.
  • Supporting the Manager with organising awareness training, events, internal staff development and activities across the organisation to embed and deliver against the company goals, as detailed within the EEDI Strategy and Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan.
  • Ensuring any employment correspondence is circulated when appropriate such as six month review forms, confirmation of appointment, pension increases.
  • Developing and maintaining professional and positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external representatives.
  • Planning ahead and managing time effectively to ensure all tasks are achieved to deadline, achieving optimum economy and the highest-possible accuracy.
  • Following and promoting the implementation of policies for the equal treatment of all employees, applicants and customers.
  • Undertaking any other tasks appropriate to this level of responsibility

Experience, skills set and/or qualifications required:

  • General HR experience is required along with a keen desire to work within an HR related role.
  • Excellent IT skills, using MS Office including PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent ability to adopt a flexible work style in changing circumstances and shift priorities when necessary.
  • Ability to problem solve, use own initiative, calmly prioritise and multi-task
  • Ability to build positive relationships.
  • An interest in improving the lives of people is important in this role.
  • Have or working towards a CIPD qualifications is helpful. They are happy to support someone who has CIPD Level 3 progress to CIPD Level 5 but this is not essential.

Hours: 37 hours per week initially on site but they hybrid working 2 days on site. The hours are usually 8.30 to 4.30/9 to 5 with 30 mins lunch and a 30 min early finish on a Friday but if you need some flexibility with these hours they are open to discussion but you would need to be able to achieve the 37 hours over the week (Mon to Fri).

Salary: £25 - 28,000 pa plus an excellent benefits package
