From 12 UK sites, our team of over 1,400 people deliver unique capabilities across air, land, sea, space and cyber for military, security and commercial customers, worldwide.

L3Harris in Tewkesbury are part of our ICI division, we work closely with UK Government and Security Agencies primarily in the areas of crypto/cyber security, electronic warfare, counter drone capabilities and situation awareness projects.

What the role will involve

A confident self-starter who is capable of leaning into the administration and coordination needs of a busy HR team. The right individual for this role would be comfortable executing administrative duties for the team which will include running reports, processing changes in the system and inputting data. This individual would be a trusted pair of hands for the HR business partnering team to lean on for all administration needs so they can focus strategically. This would include activities such as paperwork processing, meeting minute taking and the coordination of meetings.

As capacity allows, the successful individual for this role would also look to take on a small client group leading on all ER and day to day needs with the support of the business partners.

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Basic understanding of UK employment law and being comfortable interpreting policies
  • Proactively manage and respond to internal and external queries or requests both in person and via a shared email account
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Key point of contact for all administration and process management for the HR function.
  • Coordinating, supporting and project managing timelines and work allocation such as on-site training activities, administration or large change programs
  • Pride in accuracy of data in our HR Information Systems
  • Training and supporting individuals with new and existing HR systems
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and provide insights for HR decision-making
  • Lead and manage administrative support for onboarding and off boarding processes
  • Be the HR advisor for a small client group - supporting employee relation cases where comfortable

What you’ll bring

The role of HR Administrator requires the following experience and skills:

  • Proven experience as a HR administrator/HR coordinator
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to employees at all levels of the organization
  • Competently capturing meeting minutes
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality in line with policy and General Data Protection Regulation
  • A self-starter committed to delivery and personal development of self and team
  • Emotionally resilient, highly flexible and a naturally inquisitive individual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
  • Good MS skills in Word such as mail-merge and filter/sort data in Excel. Office 365 and MS Teams desirable
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
