HR Administrator - £25k - £26k – Birmingham, B37 7YN

The Role

Are you highly organised and efficient with a keen eye for detail? Do you have experience in HR administration and enjoy providing excellent support to both internal and external stakeholders? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

As an HR Administrator, you’ll work both independently and as part of a team to support the HR function across the employee life cycle. From onboarding to data management, payroll liaison to compliance, you'll ensure that HR processes run smoothly and effectively. Reporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, you'll also act as a first point of contact for HR enquiries, escalating issues to the HR Business Partners when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpdesk support, handling HR queries and escalating as required
  • Maintain accurate records in line with data protection requirements
  • Manage the HR and Recruitment inbox, ensuring timely responses
  • Post job vacancies on the company website and relevant platforms
  • Oversee vetting processes and internal applications
  • Update HR database and personnel files, liaising with payroll for prompt processing
  • Support payroll and benefits administration
  • Update the HR system with salary changes, promotions, leavers, and joiners and issues relevant paperwork.
  • Provide regular updates to the HR Shared services manager.
  • Assist with various HR projects to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

The Person

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidential and professional approach to handling sensitive information
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Customer-focused and able to work well under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Have worked in an administration role previously
  • Knowledge or experience in recruitment / HR
  • Experience in reporting
