Senior HR Advisor (Projects) Fixed Term Contract
Salary: circa £38,000 per annum (FTE equivalent), depending on experience
Hours: Full time, 9:00 - 5:30 (40 hours per week), part time hours will be considered
Duration: Fixed Term (immediate start until end of March 2025)
Location: UK. Home and/or office based.
Reports to: Client Services Manager and Lead HR Consultant
Job Purpose
To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrable knowledge of employment law, particularly legislative updates throughout 2024, be very organised and happy with autonomous working, with at least 5 years’ HR Advisory experience working with all levels of roles within the organisation and with all types of clients.
This role would incorporate the following:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Projects focus: ER
- To provide a first-class professional HR service to clients that is predominantly remote support
- Managing projects end to end and attending / chairing meetings on behalf of the client where required, in all aspects of employee relations including Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence Management, Restructure, Redundancy Settlements and TUPE
- Becoming quickly familiar with our bank of policy, employee handbook and employment contract templates
- Managing projects within the Advisor team to ensure that current client’s HR documentation, including contracts, handbooks and policies are drafted and up to date with current legislation
Employee Relations focus:
- Supporting HR Advisory colleagues with email and call workload to ensure that all advisory helpline and consultant led client enquiries are answered within service level agreements
- Supporting HR Consultants’ direct clients when they are unavailable with advice and supporting documentation
- Working with our CRM systems and processes to log all client communications
Policy focus:
- Working on policy updates to our clients’ documentation, in relation to legislative changes 2024, and potentially 2025 should changes be confirmed during the fixed term of the contract
- Updating a spreadsheet to ensure all stakeholders are aware of progress
- Liaising with HR Advisors/HR Consultants where questions arise
- Saving the updated documents into a client’s folder and then alerting the relevant HR Consultant that the review is complete
Person Specification:
- Practical HR experience at an Advisor level or above
- Practical experience of supporting clients
- Experience of providing business focused HR advice to managers at all levels
- The ability to understand commercial information
- Be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation along with generalist HR knowledge
- The ability to write clear and concise English to a high standard
- Technically astute and confident to work autonomously
- Be computer literate and proficient in MS Office, web-based applications and HRIS
- Experience of using the Microsoft Word tracking tools
- Excellent organisational and administration skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be a confident relationship builder
- Have a professional and flexible attitude
- Have the ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing and experience of dealing with people at all levels
- Be educated to degree level (or suitable experience), ideally in HR Management
