People Service Advisor
Central London (hybrid) - 3 days in the office
£40k + bonus
Grafton Recruitment are delighted to be working with a very well established company who are looking for a People Service Advisor to join their team. Our client is looking to speak to candidates who have a background in employee relations within the hospitality industry.
As a People Services Advisor, you will provide support on all employee relations issues and manage key HR processes to ensure they comply with current employment legislation and company policy.
THE ROLE:
Some of your responsibilities as a People Service Advisor:
- Provides independent, consistent and robust advice to managers on dealing with people issues and proactively supports managers in dealing with any performance or conduct related concerns within their teams.
- Responsible for advising on people processes including but not limited to: disciplinary, grievance, probation, flexible working etc, providing timely, compliant and accurate advice to ensure disputes are resolved satisfactorily.
- Ensure compliance with company polices and labor laws.
- Assist in the handling of any early conciliation or employment tribunal notices, working closely with the company's employment lawyers to provide case related documentation and insight.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and enhance employee engagement.
- Manage the occupational health referral process, ensuring a timely response from the provider.
- Handles the People Services Help Desk mailbox and HR chatbot technology on a day-to-day basis, ensuring responses are accurate and up to date.
- Assist with benefits queries and process benefits for new starters - pension and private healthcare, long service awards, quarterly and annual bonuses, salary reviews.
THE CANDIDATE:
- You will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an employee relations role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of HR best practice and employment legislation.
- Knowledge of investigation, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management processes.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work to deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency for resolution.
- CIPD level 5 will be desirable.
