Your new companyAn SME Underwriter are expanding their HR team by hiring a new, permanent HR Assistant. Reporting directly into the Head of HR, you will gain an extreme variety of experience, supporting on the entire employee lifecycle. You will be specifically responsible for:
- Act as a point of contact for all employees across the business, managing and answering any HR queries that come through.
- Prepare, handle, and issue all onboarding and offboarding documentation/processes (offer letters, contracts, exit letters and calculations of annual leave).
- Manage the Learning and Development training administration, ensuring staff are attending the correct courses.
- Assist the Head of HR in the recruitment process, organising interviews when needed and sharing the correct documentation.
- Administering staff benefits, programs, and events.
- Provide a general administrative service for the HR team including office equipment and induction lunches.
- Assist with various HR project work and new initiatives when required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience as an HR Assistant in the UK.
- Knowledge and understanding of UK Employment Law.
- Exposure to the full employee lifecycle, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Be a professional, proactive and honest individual, able to maintain the confidentiality of HR information.
