Job Description :

We have an exciting opportunity available for an HR Associate to work on a 12 month contract covering maternity leave for BAE Systems within their Air Sector based in Warton. The role is full-time and the jobholder will be required to work onsite 3-4 days per week with the rest at home. Key duties; - As member of the HR Function supporting the Support & Services organisation (S&S), the role holder will be a part of the HR Partnering team focusing on identifying people and organisation requirements underpinning the IBP. They will also work with CoEs and the wider HR model to provide integrated solutions. They will embed domain-specific competitive practice, policies, frameworks, governance, education and supporting tools in relation to the following: - Building a deep understanding of line of business / sector and stakeholder management skills to implement change and to help drive the integration needed to build an effective organisation that supports the business. - Analyses line of business or sector people data to inform people risk and opportunity identification against the IBP and engages with the relevant CoEs to benchmark and to implement short and long term solutions that improve performance, demonstrating value add - Drives engagement with critical business processes, with the support of by tools e.g. Success Factors, and positions (shares) communications, developed by the CoEs, with the business to enable people activities - Partners with business leadership, acting as an integrated part of the team to deliver high quality, accurate and efficient end to end support to business outcomes, based on an awareness of people insights and expertise - Works across line of business or sector strategic leadership, management and other partners to deploy integrated Business-focussed solutions Key Responsibility Areas: - Support the effective delivery of an Operational HR Service within Support & Services, including the creation of people packs to support People Meetings. - Advises and acts as a point of contact for employees - Manages and resolves people issues and queries, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and reliably - Assists with monitoring key metrics and using HR information systems to input and compile data - Organises presentations, prepare reports and collect information to support objectives - Operates in a manufacturing, unionised, project-based organisation - Influences and coaches others in line with business priorities - Undertakes administrative tasks, as well as multifaceted work, including collecting, organising and distributing information - Supports other members of the team through organisation skills - Works closely with Senior, non-senior Leads/Partners and Advisors - Employee with an emerging knowledge of People processes and procedures and the Company Essential Skills - Previous experience as an HR professional or working within an HR function - Experience partnering with business stakeholders, influencing and challenging constructively to ensure development of solutions which meet business needs - Ability to explain difficult and sensitive people subject matter to line managers, providing advice, guidance, coaching and direction, investigating and resolving complex people issues - Ability to multi-task and be able to deliver to deadlines Desirable Skills - Human Resources or related subject degree /Associate member of the CIPD or working towards, or equivalent experience - Experience of handling and presenting data, analysing information from a variety of sources, including Tableau and OrgVue - Experience of identifying People and Organisation priorities, delivering operational people and organisation outcomes and reacting to business needs with some complexity involved Morson is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
