Scope: You will help to drive business area performance through delivery of comprehensive and professional Human Resources advisory and coaching services. This is a generalist HR role providing comprehensive HR support for managers and employees in business area and/or project stream, reporting to the HR Director.
You must live within a 1hr drive of the site as you will be onsite at least 2 or 3 times most weeks; you must not require any sponsorship; you must have been working in UK HR for at least 5 years with an international company, and within the FMCG sector. If you have any European language abilities in addition to English, then that would be a major plus.
Position Requirements – you must have experience of:
- Supporting delivery of HR priorities and functional people plans at line management level
- Maintaining understanding of client area’s needs and build effective relationships with key stakeholders in that area to enable delivery of customer focused solutions
- Providing pragmatic and commercially focused coaching and advice on any HR related queries from colleagues and Line Managers. This will be done via combination of face-to-face meetings, online, email and telephone
- Proactively driving forward case load for client area, as HR lead on disciplinaries, grievances absence, performance management and medical capability up to and including dismissal and appeals, including ER specialist where appropriate
- Driving forward absence management including long term sick cases (including health insured cases), at pace through line managers
- Identifying learning and development needs within your client group and recommend appropriate solutions
- Designing and delivery of HR learning and development interventions e.g. discipline grievance, absence management and performance management
- Supporting and advising project leads on employee consultations as part of TUPE or any other reorganisations
- Producing and analysing monthly data for key stakeholders (such as legislative developments, annual appraisals, absence and active employee relations cases)
- Providing line managers with check and challenge needed to ensure legally compliant processesCoordinating smooth running of employee meetings/forums/Union meetings and ensuring that agenda items are audience appropriate and value adding
- Keeping self and stakeholders abreast of internal and external developments affecting HR practice in client area
- Building collaborative relationships with relevant Trade Unions and retain comprehensive understanding of any collective agreements
- Being champion for company behaviours and role model accordingly
- Providing HR support on business projects as appropriate, such as engagement surveys, suggested outputs for improvement, etc
- This is a key UK appointment for this Group and you will need to be a self-starter who is happy working alone, as well as part of a large European team.
