Job Description :

Human Resources Business Partner / People Advisor with generalist HR experience, excellent knowledge of employment legislation and experience of supporting and coaching senior managers is required to join a well-established housing association.

Candidates will need CIPD membership level 7 or relevant experience of working to this level

SALARY: £55,075 - £57,500 pro rata + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid working - partly from the office in either Ealing or Staines, and the remaining time from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 9 Month Fixed Term Contact

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner / People Advisor with generalist HR experience, excellent knowledge of employment legislation and experience of supporting and coaching senior managers.

As the Human Resources Business Partner / People Advisor you will join a friendly and hard-working People Services Department.

The role of Human Resources Business Partner / People Advisor will be partnering with People Services colleagues and senior stakeholders in client areas to deliver current and future people related initiatives in support of the Group’s strategic and operational objectives.

DUTIES

Your duties as Human Resources Business Partner / People Advisor will include:

  • Build relationships within client business areas and across the business in order to develop an understanding of commercial drivers and build credibility through influencing and challenging senior managers
  • Develop, maintain and review a people plan in client areas that achieves business objectives and supports People strategies, brokering the services of the wider People Services team where appropriate
  • Support senior managers to develop their target operating model through business transformation and organisation change
  • Build strong relationships with the wider People Services team to facilitate forecasting and planning of activities to support the delivery of People Plans and the People Strategy and ensure effective and timely implementation of People Services initiatives and cyclical work
  • Provide statistical information and analysis to management and identify areas where People interventions are required to improve business performance, coaching senior managers and colleagues about current risks and benefits
  • Support, advise and coach senior managers in the management of complex people/ER issues, adopting a commercially focused, pragmatic approach to managing risk

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
  • CIPD membership level 7 or relevant experience of working to this level
  • Understands how People strategies and interventions support overall Business Strategies and Goals and able to drive business performance through effective people planning, brokering the services of the wider People Services team where necessary
  • Experienced HR generalist covering employee relations; equality, diversity & inclusion; resourcing & talent management; reward; and L&D
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and the implications for case management. Understands how to mitigate risk and how changes in legislation impact Policies & Procedures
  • Experience of supporting and coaching senior managers to identify root causes, create and embed People interventions to create a positive climate
  • Familiar with the key stages in change management and principles of organisation design and able to apply this knowledge to planning and conducting consultation processes associated with reorganisations and TUPE transfer
