We are seeking a HR Business Partner to join our client's team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide expert advice in line with Trust policies on key employee relations work, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, organisational change, restructure, redundancy, and attendance management. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced and can support less experienced members of the People Services team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide advice and support on a wide range of HR issues in accordance with Trust policies.
- Handle complex employee relations cases involving disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance appraisals.
- Advise on organisational change initiatives, including restructures and redundancies.
- Manage attendance effectively, implementing strategies to maintain or improve attendance levels.
- Support and mentor less experienced members of the People Services team.
- Attend meetings across Trust sites, requiring travel within Hull and East Riding.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a HR Business Partner or similar role.
- Strong understanding of employment law and employee relations.
- Experience in public sector and unionised environments is highly advantageous.
- Education sector experience is preferable but not essential.
- Must have a driving licence and access to own car for travel across Trust sites.
- Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently without significant support.
