Job Description :

Raymond James Investment Services is looking to recruit an HR Business Partner to help develop, shape and implement people management practices across the business. A key relationship-builder, the role has broad, practical responsibilities across the various HR areas of expertise. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, with strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills. This role is very much future-focused and takes account of the latest HR trends and techniques.

This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 12 months.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • To act as a business partner and internal consultant, influencing across the full range of people issues, to achieve successful actions and outcomes for a demanding and dynamic internal client group.
  • To help facilitate change and support the business, which is on a significant journey.
  • To champion our culture, values and behaviours and to help drive staff engagement activities and initiatives.
  • To support management confidence and skills through the provision of advice, coaching, expert guidance and positive challenge. To ensure compliance with, and delivery of, required HR policies /practices / timetables, such as appraisals, performance management, compensation reviews, T&C, etc.
  • To assist managers and others with employment issues and coach them in dealing with sensitive staff matters.
  • To deal with day-to-day management of HR issues including disciplinary actions, grievances, conflict resolution, dismissals, restructures, absence and PHI.
  • To work collaboratively with the HR Hub and specialists in Organisational Effectiveness to ensure HR support is prioritised and delivered to the business area in an effective and appropriate way.
  • To be an active member of the HRBP team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Member of CIPD (or part qualified/similar).
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar, ideally from working in a financial / professional services organisation or other regulated business. Financial Services experience helpful.
  • Proven experience of supporting businesses and individuals through times of change.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good influencing skills, including strong written and verbal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a complex business during a time of transformation.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • A commercially aware and creative thinker.
  • Excellent problem solver.
  • Ability to manage change.
  • A self-starter with a strong delivery focus. Highly flexible, driven and determined.
  • A good working knowledge of employment law.
  • Responsible and risk astute.
