The Vacancy

We are looking for a HR Coordinator to join our HR team to support the Human Resources department in various administrative and operational functions. Initially this will be a 12-month fixed term contract.

SPD (Swiss Precision Diagnostics) are world leaders in the research, design, and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products. SPD is a joint venture business between P&G and Abbott and our brand Clearblue is recognised the world over as providing accurate home pregnancy and fertility monitoring tests. In this varied role you will play a key role in coordinating HR processes and maintaining HR records to ensure a smooth and efficient HR operation. You will be involved in enhancing the employee experience, supporting HR initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

You will be the first point of contact for employees and People Managers for enquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. You will process new starters, maintain accurate and up-to-date employee/HR records, undertake data entry/updates, and produce queries and reports from the HRIS software, process payroll and expenses, coordinate employee benefits, process leavers, produce HR metrics and participate and assist in HR initiatives and projects as and when required.

Hybrid Working

At SPD we have a Hybrid Working Polic where team members can choose to work up to 40% of their contractual hours working remotely from their home address with the remaining minimum of 60% of their working week at the Bedford site office.

We are looking for an individual who has…

  • Previous experience in HR or administrative roles, ideally a recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or working towards a HR qualification.
  • Strong organisational, time management, administration, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people at all levels within the business and the ability to work independently.
  • Someone who uses own initiative to plan and manage their own workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and ideally experience using a HRIS software.

We are looking to hold telephone interviews w/c 9th December and face to face interviews at our Bedford site office w/c 16th December.
