HR Generalist

  • Contract Type: 12-month FTC
  • Location: Belfast
  • Start Date: ASAP

I am currently working with a NI Top 100 company who are seeking an HR Generalist to join their award-winning Human Resources team.

This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor, supporting employees across multiple sites and contributing significantly to the overall employee experience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, support managers in sourcing candidates, and handle all appointment letters and contracts
  • Advisory: Provide expert HR advice, coaching, and guidance on policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Handle Employee Relations issues including investigations, disciplinaries, and grievance
  • Talent Management: Assist in the implementation of the People strategy, support performance management, and advise on learning and development interventions
  • Employee Experience: Manage onboarding processes and support the employee lifecycle from induction to exit
  • HR Projects: Collaborate on HR process improvements and support HR projects
  • Policy Implementation: Update and maintain HR policies ensuring compliance with NI legislation
  • Reward: Conduct market intelligence to ensure competitive employee rewards and collaborate with payroll teams
  • Learning and Development: Facilitate in-house training and support performance management processes
  • Reporting: Handle data reporting and analysis, maintain internal databases, and ensure accurate management reporting

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Third level qualification in HR, Business, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of HR generalist experience in an advisory capacity, covering the entire employee lifecycle
  • Strong experience in handling employee relations matters
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of NI employment legislation

Desirable Criteria:

  • CIPD qualification
  • Experience using Workday HCM
  • Full driving license and access to a car
