Our client, a manufacturing company are looking for a HR Manager to join their UK office and instil value through the HR function. This role is offering a full-time, permanent opportunity working in Canterbury on a standalone basis. This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about bringing people together.Role and Responsibilities:
- Acting as a key point of contact to heads of business and line management, advising on all manner of People solutions including appraisals and performance management
- Managing the recruitment function from start to finish
- Developing and updating HR policies in line with greater business objectives
- Acting as force for continued improvement in Diversity & Inclusion, risk management and safeguarding policies and practices
- Leading on ER cases as required
- Effectively line managing, coaching and developing a dynamic HR team
- Extracting data from HR systems to produce regular reports, to be used as tools to inform future HR practice
- Continuing to evaluate Employee Reward and Wellbeing offers to ensure they are providing maximum benefit to the workforce
- Committing to fostering a strong, positive and inclusive culture amongst the various teams, in line with the company’s greater vision
Skills & Experience required:
- Prior experience within the manufacturing or steel industry is ideal
- CIPD or other relevant HR qualification
- Previous experience in a HR Manager or senior leadership role
- Previous strategic HR experience, and an intrinsic ability to take a diagnostic approach to where HR can add value to a business
- A highly skilled communicator, adept at persuading and influencing stakeholders
- An effective line manager, passionate about developing teams
- Analytical, with an ability to extract crucial data for reporting purposes
