Our team is committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and we are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join us in supporting our staff and students.
Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school by managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, conducting interviews, and onboarding new staff.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall school strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Support current and future school needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Maintain and update employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Requirements:
- Educated to at least A-level standard (or equivalent)
- Educated to at least GCSE grade C/4 standard (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics Experience of working in a Human Resources related environment
- CIPD Level 3/5 qualification
- Good knowledge of employment law knowledge and understanding of key HR processes e.g. recruitment, appraisals, absence management
- Ability to use initiative to improve process and to be creative and analytical in order to find solutions to complex HR issues
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal sensitively with related issues/individuals with tact, diplomacy and discretion
- Ability to work quickly, methodically and accurately under pressure and act flexibly to support others and respond to unplanned situations
