The Opportunity:
A role has become available for an experienced HR Project Partner, reporting into the Director of HR.
As a HR Project Partner, you will be responsible for Implementing commercially focused project management best practices across all HR Inspire projects, both internal and external, whether personally delivered or managed by others. You will also drive the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on scope, within deadlines, and aligned with commercial objectives to benefit both HR Inspire and our clients.
The role is a full time, FTC position based from HR Inspire's beautiful offices in Tring, Hertfordshire.
The role is an initial 6 month FTC with a view to potentially moving into a full time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise and champion HR Inspire’s project management templates, including the project plan, RAID log, project initiation form, and status report, ensuring consistent application across all projects.
- Rollout project management materials to all project managers, ensuring adherence to the methodology and regular project reporting.
- Conduct regular project team reviews to keep all members informed of business trends and updates.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date project register for all HR Inspire internal and external projects, escalating key risks and issues to the leadership team as necessary.
- Manage multiple customer and internal projects, ensuring each is clearly scoped, commercially viable, and delivered successfully.
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations regarding project delivery, effectively communicating risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Control project scope creep by ensuring changes are assessed for their impact on time and budget, with appropriate costings and approvals.
- Take ownership of project delivery by clearly defining team responsibilities, tracking actions, and ensuring follow-through.
- Accurately record project time allocations.
- Proactively monitor project revenue expectations, addressing any shortfalls with the leadership team.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across all departments to support project success.
- Provide HR consultancy support as needed.
This is not an exhaustive list and you must be flexible in your approach to carrying out your duties which may change from time to time to reflect business needs or for the company’s continuous improvement.
About you:
- Proven experience in HR project management, including delivering business change programmes.
- Qualification in PRINCE2 or Lean Six Sigma is desirable but not essential.
- Ideally, prior experience in a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Proficient in consultancy techniques, including analysis and process mapping.
- Strong understanding of the strategic role of Human Resources in driving organisational success.
- CIPD qualification is desirable.
- Familiarity with at least one leading HR cloud system, such as SAP, Workday, or Oracle.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
- Logical and pragmatic approach to planning, problem-solving, and issue resolution, with the ability to see the 'big picture’ and identify interdependencies.
- A collaborative team player with a genuine ability to work effectively with others.
- Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, including Directors and Board members.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
