Job Description :

Macildowie are seeking a HSQE Manager for a market leader within the manufacturing and construction industry in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. This role has become available due to company growth, and it's a highly rewarding opportunity where you will be a key player in shaping the future success of the company.

Working hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a HSQE managerial role in the past or similar. NEBOSH level 3 H&S certification is essential.

Please note that this role will require you to work in various locations including the office, factory, client sites, and from home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Director to enable effective decision-making and continuous improvements in operations.
  • Manage and enhance the integration of HSE and Quality systems across the business.
  • Regular office, factory, and client site visits to ensure adherence to standards and protocols.

MUST HAVES:

  • Proven experience in HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) management.
  • Minimum NEBOSH Level 3 certification in Health & Safety.
  • Experience in implementing and managing quality control procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to take ownership of the role.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while being part of a team.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
