Job Opportunity: Hydraulic Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to take responsibility for the hydraulic build and maintenance at our clients site, just on the outskirts of Keighley. This position involves a mix of factory-based work and occasional field service visits, including installations and overseas travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble hydraulic systems, including dressing prime movers with pumps, valves, and piping.
- Perform final testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.
- Conduct service visits and installations as required, including international assignments.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems associated with heavy plant and mobile cranes.
- Utilize working knowledge of electronics for the control and operation of hydraulic systems.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a contractor’s plant engineer or similar, working with heavy plant or mobile cranes.
- Strong expertise in hydraulic systems, including assembly, fault finding, and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of electronics associated with hydraulic controls.
- Willingness to travel for service and installation work, including overseas assignments.
- Military engineering experience (e.g., ex-Army engineers) is highly desirable.
