IBA Technician - MW Appointments : Job Details

Providing UK & international clients with bespoke risk and insurance solutions via a global network of offices to clients of varying dimensions across all sectors of the economy.

The IBA Technician will work within a small and collaborative team who work closely with colleagues across the business, markets and clients to provide an accurate and timely accounting service.

Overview

• Management of underwriter payables process and payments in relation to Company and Placing Intermediary markets including reconciliation of balances and payments to underwriters.
• Management of claims payable process and payments to claimants
• Maintenance of the Insurance Broking Ledgers, to include reconciliations and settlements to insurers, agents and producers
• Responsibility for regular Insurer and Market payments and on occasion company payments
• Any other reasonable task or project as may be required from time to time

Key skills

• Knowledge of Insurance Broking accounting
• Claims and premium reconciliation
• Experience of multi-currency accounting
• Lloyds / London market experience preferred
• Use of ACTURIS would be a bonus

What is on offer

• This is an urgent hire and our client would like applications from candidates who can start asap. (a 1 month notice period is the maximum)
• The role can be permanent or a temporary assignment, depending on your requirements.
• Salary to £45,000 p.a.
• Hybrid Working Options (3 days per week in the City office)
