Job Title: Import Clerk

Location: South Manchester

Job Type: Full-time office based

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE

Reed Procurement are currently working in partnership with a well established and busy freight forwarding business located in South Manchester, who are now looking to recruit an Import Clerk on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to take on a fully operational focused position, within a fast paced and well run business.

Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end import operations for both Air Freight and Ocean Freight
• Coordinate with carriers, freight agents, and other service providers to ensure smooth cargo movement
• Process customs clearances efficiently
• Booking jobs & providing quotes
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

Requirements:

• Previous experience in import operations within the freight forwarding industry
• Proficiency in handling Air Freight and Ocean Freight imports
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
