Import Clerk - Right Now Recruitment : Job Details

Right Now Group are currently looking for an experienced Import Clerk to join our Client based in Colnbrook

You will be joining a Logistics Company that have opened up a Freight Division earlier this year.

As an Import Clerk you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the efficient movement of General Cargo shipments by Air & Ocean. Your expertise will be in managing the Air & Ocean Import Workflow within the team.

Responsibilities of an Import Clerk:

• Prepare and process all necessary documentation for importing goods via air & ocean, including customs clearance documents, export declarations, bills of lading and AWB's/HAWB's.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, custom brokers and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance of imported goods, including classification and compliance with import regulations and duties.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and customers regarding imported shipments, providing them with shipment status updates, addressing inquiries and concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor the movement of imported cargo from the point of origin to its final destination, tracking shipment statuses and providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.

The successful Import Clerk:

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment moving freight across the world.
• Experienced in imports (minimum 1 year's experience in Air & Ocean import)
• Full 5 year checkable work history and DBS
• Must be self sufficient.
• Experience using Multifreight would be beneficial

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
