Import Clerk

• Location: Tilbury, Essex
• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: £35,000 -  £37,000 pa
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00

We are seeking a dedicated Import Logistics Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in freight forwarding, looking to further their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Liaise with various customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, including shipping lines, hauliers, and depots.
• Raise internal files and prepare invoices.
• Process supplier invoices and address any discrepancies.
• Monitor vessel arrivals and organise collections and deliveries to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Follow up after delivery to confirm customer satisfaction and explore further opportunities for service improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience working for a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
• Experience with CNS and Destin8; familiarity with Multi-freight is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical and English skills.
• Good communication skills and a friendly personality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• A strong and dynamic team player.
