Job Title: Import/Export Analyst Location: Northampton (Hybrid) Pay Rate: £12.60 - £14.00 per hour

Job Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import/Export Analyst to join our team on a rolling 6 month contract. This role, reporting to the Import and Export Manager, focuses on delivering excellent customer service and effective administration within the Import and Export function. The primary responsibilities include handling customs paperwork, managing import/export ledgers, and resolving import/export queries. The successful candidate will work closely with Siemens Mobility, Unipart Rail, and Siemens' repairable suppliers to meet customer service expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Management:- Prepare all export documentation, including proforma invoices and export declarations for Siemens' external logistics provider. - Maintain the Export ledger with detailed export records. - Collaborate with Siemens’ external logistics provider to ensure compliance with export processes.

Import Management:- Prepare and process all import paperwork to enable customs clearance. - Issue re-import clearance instructions to the appointed agent. - Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely import of goods. - Maintain the Import ledger with detailed import records and ensure all customs paperwork is stored accurately for potential audits.

Customer Service and Administration:- Handle import/export queries promptly and efficiently. - Provide access to necessary documentation upon request. - Coordinate with Unipart Rail and Siemens suppliers to meet customer service requirements and expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Previous experience working within logistics or import/export- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.- Proficient in SAP and Excel.- Knowledge of import and export processes.- Familiarity with country-specific customs requirements.- Experience working with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics companies.
