This role is for a medium sized FMCG import business based in North West London managing the Admin for all overseas transportation coordination.

The client is a medium to large FMCG importer of foods based in NW London.
Description
The key responsibilities will include
- To organise all overseas transport and deal with any queries relating to this.
- To obtain price quotes for all shipments and ensure the most competitive and effective solution is used.
- To maintain regular meetings with freight forwarders and make sure that we get the best customer service possible.
- To keep the transport tender up to date.
- To review all transport invoices and pass them to the accounts department in a timely manner.
- To resolve any pricing queries or complaints and escalate if necessary.
- To check all customs clearance paperwork to ensure the right amount of duty has been paid and raise any issues with the transport companies if necessary.
- To complete all declarations (customs clearance for goods going into NI)
- To maintain the Control and Carriers spreadsheet with the help of the Logistics Stock Controller.
- To analyse transport rates on a regular basis and flag up any variances to the rest of the team and the Business Analysis team.
- To ensure commodity codes and duty rates are reviewed on a quarterly basis and research commodity codes for new lines.
