This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of the Operational Resilience team at Thames Water! You'll play a key role in supporting our compliance with the Security & Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) as part of our emergency planning efforts.In this role, you'll be at the heart of organising and delivering various exercises involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring everything runs smoothly and coordinating the outcomes from these events. You'll also help capture key learnings from the exercises to support continuous business improvement.Beyond exercise coordination, you'll contribute to core Operational Resilience functions such as emergency planning training, learning, and reporting, making a real difference across the team.What you’ll be doing as an Incident Response Project Coordinator:
- Supporting the team with essential department activities, including managing external stakeholders, operational plan writing, rising tide incident management, and ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Clearly communicating the department's progress on plan writing, training, exercises, and key learnings.
- Managing SharePoint and file systems to ensure everything is organised and easily accessible when needed.
- Developing and maintaining internal documents to keep our records up to date.
- Attending Local Resilience Forums and representing Thames Water when required, including during training and exercises.
- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure resilience activities are planned, compliant with regulations, and effectively delivered on time.
Location: Reading - Kemble Court - RG2 6AD. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.Working hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start times available.What you should bring to the role:
- Experience in scheduling, planning, or coordinating would be a plus.
- Working knowledge of SEMD regulations and experience of emergency planning would be of benefit.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting project deadlines.
- Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new software tools.
- A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
