Indirect Buyer – South Yorkshire/Hybrid (3 days WFH) – £35,000 - £40,000 + 20% Bonus + CIPS

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a national leading business based in South Yorkshire who are looking to recruit an Indirect Buyer to join their team.

As an Indirect Buyer, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of procurement strategy and to provide procurement advice across the business.

Indirect Buyer Duties:

• Manage the procurement of a variety of commodities, services and projects, including management of the supplier base and appropriate contracts / terms and conditions
• Management of strategic procurement projects / initiatives
• Review quotations and negotiate prices with key suppliers
• Manage supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum efficiency / benefit
• Integration, review and maintenance of group supplier base, maximising efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Work closely with the SHEQ team to ensure suppliers comply with group requirements in respect of health & safety and environmental issues
• Address and resolve procurement problems, challenging under-performing suppliers and taking robust action to remedy issues / prevent recurrence
• Assist in the development of specifications and identification of suitable suppliers of goods and services

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexi time)

Required skills & experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement and contract management
• Experience of purchasing of commodities, services and capital projects
• Experience with running tenders
• Proficient in use of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel
