The OpportunityReporting into the Head of Department and working within a collaborative team, the Indirect Category Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing Plant Capex, MRO, H&S, Construction-, Manufacturing-, Engineering Services across multiple UK sites
- Partnering with key senior stakeholders, reviewing and consolidating spend
- Designing Category Strategy - Spend/supplier analysis, developing category business plans
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure early involvement of Procurement in Capex project activity
- Running tenders through to award and contract negotiation, - implementation supporting key strategic projects
- Supplier performance management
About YouThe ideal Indirect Category Manager will have/be:
- Proven strategic procurement track record within Indirect categories (in particular Capex, MRO, Engineering Services)
- Indirect Category management experience/contract management experience essential
- Strong negotiation skills, cost analysis, commercially astute
- Experienced in negotiating agreements/SLAs, with a good understanding of contractual terms
- Proactive, resilient, assertive, able to hit ground running
- Strengths in building relationships externally//internally - confident to challenge
- Team player, flexible to changing priorities and able to work at pace
