Indirect Tax Assistant - The Consultancy Group : Job Details

Leading Tourism and Aviation Group is looking to add to their Indirect Tax team. The role will see you not only contributing and leading on all things VAT compliance for UK and Europe engaging directly with key stakeholders. There will also be a genuine opportunity for you to be involved with Indirect Tax Advisory matters as the Head of Tax believes in autonomy and fulfilling your potential.

Example duties:

• Assist in the preparation of all UK and European VAT, and Intrastat & EC Sales list returns
• Complete the monthly European VAT returns
• Assist in the preparation of all VAT balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of journals

To be successful in this role you will need to understand as a minimum the basics of UK VAT Compliance as this is the bones of the role. Technical understanding is essential so you will need to also have had experience in-house with practical VAT experience including understanding differing finance functions and stakeholders in all things indirect tax.

Full on the job training will be provided so they are open to looking at part qual through to qualified by experience as long as the technical VAT understanding and experience is there.
