The starting salary for this role is £40,296 per annum, working 36 hours per week.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months with the possibility of an extension.

We have two vacancies for Information Governance Advisors, sitting within the Adults Wellbeing & Health Partnerships Information Governance Team, who will have a responsibility to support the service complying with its legal information law responsibilities.

About the Role

This role is full time (36 hours per week) and is based out of the Guildford Borough Council Offices in Central Guildford. The team are, however, working flexibly predominantly based at home as well in other Surrey County Council offices.

A key requirement of this role will be to support the service achieve legal compliance and therefore relevant experience in working with information law or information management are essential. Interested candidates will also need to have a good level of knowledge and experience in working with systems such as Word, MS Teams, SharePoint and LAS.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be shortlisted for interview, your CV and personal statement must clearly evidence:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of information governance legislation, particularly the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of records management procedures
  • Ability to work on own initiative, both independently and as a part of a team, under pressure and with effective time management and self-organisation skills
  • Demonstrable commitment to People First Values
