Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Gloucester (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Month Contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Rate: Up to £425 per day

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft and M365 technologies to join our client on a 6 month contract

This role is ideal for someone with enterprise-level experience who is comfortable working in a team leader capacity, guiding technical teams and ensuring the smooth operation of critical IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft infrastructure solutions
• Oversee and optimise M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune
• Manage Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, and Group Policy in an enterprise setting
• Ensure security best practices across Microsoft environments, including Defender, Conditional Access, and Identity Protection
• Support and maintain Windows Server environments, including Hyper-V and failover clustering
• Work with PowerShell scripting and automation for infrastructure management
• Monitor and manage Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and Autopilot for device provisioning and management
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure infrastructure aligns with business needs

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure cloud services
• Expertise in Active Directory, Azure AD, and hybrid identity management
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, including patching, security, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of networking principles, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Exposure to Microsoft licensing models and compliance standards
