In this role as a Infrastructure Team Lead, you’ll take ownership of system configuration, lead incident management, and ensure optimal service delivery. You’ll guide a skilled team, drive continuous improvements, and work closely with customers and third-party partners to influence decisions that maintain system stability.

These roles require the successful applicants to undergo UK security vetting clearance (or a willingness to apply).

Office based on site in Gloucester.

What you'll be doing:

  • ?Own the technical configuration and architecture of the system, ensuring seamless integration across all interfaces.
  • Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with customers and third-party partners, guiding key decisions to shape service outcomes.
  • Lead the team in triaging, investigating, and resolving incidents, changes, and system stories, optimising resource use for timely, effective resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain system health to ensure consistent, high-level service delivery.
  • Take charge of troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues, including hardware, software, and networking challenges.
  • Work within Agile and ITIL frameworks, driving continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
  • Ensure robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plans are in place and operational.

What you’ll bring:

  • Expertise in assessing the impact of new features and operational improvements, ensuring system stability and relevance while effectively influencing key customers.
  • Strong knowledge of the DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD, automation, containerization, and both on-premise and cloud platformsSolid foundation in computer networking, including routing, firewalls, and proxies.
  • Proficiency in anti-malware agents and IDPS (Intrusion Detection and Prevention System) concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems, with a preference for Red Hat.
  • Proven experience in mentoring, supporting, and developing team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Ability to identify and drive process and governance improvements for greater efficiency and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in delivery roles.

It would be great if you had:

  • ITIL V4 & Agile Delivery Methodologies (Scrum & Kanban).
