We are looking to recruit, for our well established freight forwarder, an Inside Sales & Pricing Manager. The role is located around the Heathrow area.
Requirements of the Role:
- Good people management and facilitating skills, with strategic thinking
- Being able to organise department work and delegate tasks
- Basic standard of education - up to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Good Communication; verbal and written, telephone skills
- Good computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
- Good numeracy skills
- Experience of sales within a Freight Forwarding Environment
- Good understanding of Freight Forwarding business and it’s services
- Good customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work at speed in a competitive / pressurised environment and complete tasks within strict deadlines
Daily Tasks:
- To manage the overall running of the inside national sales department, working closely with the inside sales supervisor.
- To be able to develop & performance manage the inside sales staff
- To be able to train and facilitate all inside sales coordinators as and when required to do so.To monitor inside teams work efficiency and to look for enhancementsand constant improvements.
- To look for prospective sales leads and ensure to pass these over to the sales management.
- To arrange and complete competitive and accurate pricing for RFQ’s / Bids, Tenders and General Quotes within requested time frame and complete
- Follow up actions as required (Air, Ocean, Road or as required)
- To support UK sales members in terms of pricing / quoting / follow up, creating marketing information
- To produce business reports and data as required for Managers
- Update, databases as directed
- To administrate monthly reporting, for won/loss and feedback monitoring, to set up rate templates for regular customers.
- Liaise with UK and Overseas branches
- Follow up with customers as directed
- Dealing with any related queries
