We are looking for an Insurance Specialist to join our experienced and dynamic team at our headquarters near Zurich
This role will assume responsibility for our international insurance programs, work with internal teams on insurance-related projects and tasks, and help to improve the management of the insurance function.
The position reports to the MD Insurance, with co-reporting lines up to the MD Finance & Controlling and the Senior Manager Group Treasury. This is a full-time, unlimited and 100% onsite position.
Position responsibilities
? As part of the internal insurance department, coordinate related activities of the Group and external interfaces and stakeholders
? Manage and further develop the Groups international insurance programs and insurance strategy across related insurance sectors
? Supporting development of customized insurance solutions
? Supporting the broker in tendering, negotiating, placing and implementing of global insurance programs
? Claim Management: Managing claims and losses including collaborating with legal department, loss adjusters, brokers, insurance companies, service providers and internal stakeholders
? Supporting various projects (in development and in execution) and provide consultancy to internal insurance and finance teams regarding existing insurance solutions and development of new projects and markets
? Functional support to legal department in the area of risk and insurance management
? Planning and participating in plant risk & technical audits and relevant follow ups to settle recommendations
Required experience & skills:
Insurance, finance, commercial or business management education
Min. 5 years’ experience in Corporate/Group insurance management or in international insurance company or in insurance broker or similar
Fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages (e.g. German) are a benefit
Experience or additional qualification in Enterprise Risk Management would be an asset
Experienced in leadership, driving performance and delivering value-adding projects
Proven experience in engaging with senior management and ability to deliver key messages in a concise and clear way
Strong negotiations and analytical skills, and an ability to simplify and break down complex technical issues
Multicultural management skills
Open-minded, team-oriented, self-managing
This role will involve regular business travel
Permission to live and work in Switzerland is a requirement for this role.
