Job Title: Interim Accountant - Manufacturing
Location: North West England, South Manchester - super hybrid with only 2-4 times per month in the office
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours

Our client is an international manufacturing company who are going through an exciting period of change. As part of this, they are looking to bring on board someone for a 12 month fixed term contract whilst the longer term structure of the department is determined. They are looking for someone with a background in manufacturing that can support the Plants with their knowledge and understanding of costs (standard costs, Bills of Materials (BOM) etc.).
Job Duties:
- Prepare and analyse financial reports for the manufacturing department
- Manage costing activities and provide cost accounting support
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct regular financial audits and recommend process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA
- Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
Experience:
- Experience in cost accounting and manufacturing industry preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of costing principles and practises
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in accounting or finance
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, Oracle
Working Conditions:
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Potential for travel to other manufacturing sites on occasion
