As Interim Accountant you will be responsible for understanding the complex structure of the organisation as well as the current finance processes and procedures. You will then be responsible for selection and implementing a new finance system that best meets the needs of the organisation. This is predominantly an office based role, with the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week.

Description

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

• Understanding the current processes through process maps and systems notes, as well as gathering future requirements
• Conduct and lead vendor briefings for the new system, score those vendors and finalise the selection process
• Work with the vendor on the implementation plan
• Conduct User Acceptance testing

Within this role you will also be required to assist with some of the Business as Usual processes within finance.

This is predominantly an office based role (East Kent), with the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week.

Profile

My client is looking for a Qualified / Qualified by Experience Accountant with a strong understanding of month-end processes and demonstrable experience in producing a set of accounts. Any experience in setting up a chart of accounts / implementing new systems would be advantageous.

Within this role you will be required to work with people across the organisation, influence them and ensure their buy in, so you must have strong communication and partnering skills.

Ideally you would be available to start this role immediately / at short notice but my client can wait for the right candidate.

Job Offer

£55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience

Longer term contract with the opportunity to go permanent
