My client, a leading global media organisation, is seeking an Interim EMEA Payroll Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a blue-chip company, overseeing payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries.
The Role:
- Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Act as the escalation point for payroll service issues across EMEA, ensuring timely resolution through external vendors.
- Ensure employees receive accurate and timely remuneration, meeting contractual obligations.
- Manage relationships between third-party payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll processing.
- Approve and oversee payroll reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for management and relevant authorities.
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and legal entity stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with statutory payroll regulations and audit controls.
- Oversee third-party payments, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support and provide cover for other Payroll Managers within the EMEA team.
- Troubleshoot SAP technical issues, such as GL posting discrepancies, and propose efficiency improvements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing vendor-supported payroll processes.
- Extensive experience leading payroll operations for a large, multinational organisation.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and best practices across multiple EMEA countries.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Experience working with SAP and troubleshooting payroll-related system issues.
