- Bristol-based client, preference on 1 day per week on site/ in the Bristol office

- Our client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the business partnering and management accounts function, to work closely with the Corporate Service directorate and, in particular, Digital Services.
- Required start date: January 2025 - initially for 3 months (likely to be 6 months at least)
- Paying between £470-£550 a day via Umbrella or PAYE (inside IR35 role)
- Requires full / valid SC clearance that is valid for the duration of the assignment, which could be until May/June 2025 initially.
- Managing two Management Accountants.
- Getting involved with preparation for the interim audit and year-end audit.
- There is also a potential to get involved with the wider programme of work as they migrate to SAP4Hana in April 2025.
- They are also working on a business wide spending review and aligning this with the budget-setting process for 25/26.
Key deliverables
- Be able to embed quickly into the corporate services directorate as a finance business partner, meeting stakeholders, particularly in the digital area.
- Understand what the business drivers are and collaborate on setting budgets for 25/26 and assist in both Interim and Year end Audits.
- Prepare monthly reports, provide analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
Key requirements to apply:
- Full professional qualification in accountancy UK CCAB or CIMA* with current membership of a professional body
- Experience of effective relationships and stakeholder management skills with the ability to persuade, influence and motivate others to engage actively in good financial management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to describe complex technical issues in a clear non-technical way, including through report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience of budget setting in a time-pressured environment using a variety of tools and knowledge and business intelligence.
- Sound problem-solving skills.
- Robust analytical and interpretative skills.
- The ability to quickly assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge.
