My client is a a dynamic and growing business with an annual turnover of under £50 million, and due to internal promotion, is now are seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Director (FD) to support the business through a critical growth phase. You will join a collaborative leadership team and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, improving processes, and driving commercial performance.Role Overview:As Interim Commercial FD, you will be responsible for leading the finance function and contributing to the broader strategic direction of the business. You will oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis while ensuring that robust financial controls are in place. This role will require you to act as a true business partner to the CEO and senior leadership, bringing financial insight to commercial decisions and helping to steer the business towards its goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Drive commercial insight and provide financial analysis to support business decisions, helping to identify opportunities for growth and profitability.
- Implement and monitor financial controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and investment analysis.
- Work closely with department heads to create a culture of financial awareness across the business.
- Lead any finance-related projects, including system improvements, process optimisation, and financial restructuring.
- Provide support during any external financial audits or due diligence processes.
